In years of traveling the world I can say that most poor countries are conservative, especially in public. Even richer countries in Asia tend to be. A few more aspiring countries exist around the globe but even if you include them that only brings the number up to 206. According to what you write that would mean there are only 6 countries in the world where people earn more than 10-15 dollars a day which is of course ridiculous. There are 34 countries in the OECD. The IMF identifies 37 countries as “advanced economies.” Average incomes are higher than 10-15 dollars a day in even more countries than those lists include. There are also other factors. Average income isn’t always tied to the fees prostitutes charge. Myanmar is one of the poorest countries in the world but foreigners who go there pay 50 to 100 dollars to take a lady out of a fashion club. Cambodia isn’t much richer and foreigners typically pay 30 to 100 dollars to take a woman from a hostess bar or nightclub. Even locals who have money pay these fees or even more.
