Hooker Hill in Seoul in a nutshell

Hooker Hill is a famous red light district for foreigners in South Korea. It is located in Itaewon. Itaewon is a neighborhood in Seoul, where a lot of Westerners like to congregate. It is sort of like Roppongi in Tokyo. There’s a lot of businesses and other legit stuff but there are also some areas where fun goes down. Besides the nightclubs and a few massage parlors there Hooker Hill. It’s basically just a little street filled with bars where foreigners can buy sex.

Hooker hill is easy to find. You just take Exit 3 out of Itaewon Station, pass the Starbucks, make the first right, then make the first left. It’s about a five minute walk. Here’s a handy map of Hooker Hill if you can’t follow directions.

What is Hooker Hill?

Don’t expect much on Hooker Hill. It’s no Walking Street in Pattaya. It’s just a little street with barely enough room for a car to pass. On both sides there are little bars with blacked out windows. The women used to hang outside looking for customers but in recent years they usually stay inside. To be honest, the place consistently gets worse as time goes on. These days its mediocre at best. But there are still hookers on the hill. You can either go to a place you already know or slowly walk up and down the hill and watch as women with sexy clothes jump out and try to get you inside their businesses.

Some bars only have one woman inside. Some have one woman and a mamasan. Some have a few women. When they get you inside they may ask you to buy a drink. I sometime get a drink for myself but I rarely buy one for the woman. Unlike Ho Chi Minh City hostess bars the lady drinks at these places really serve no purpose other than to help you part with your money. The prices aren’t set either. I guess they look at guys and try to figure out what they’ll pay. I’ve heard of people being asked as much as $50 dollars American for a drink. This is negotiable but the best solution for me is to avoid the drinks all together. It’s easier just to say what kind of service you’re looking for and start negotiating prices. Some will save you the trouble by offering you services as soon as you step inside.

It’s interesting to note that there’s a doctor who serves foreigners right at the bottom of the hill and he specializes in sexually transmitted diseases. I don’t know how many STDs come from casual hookups and how many are provided as a free gift from the many hookers around, but his office always looks busy.

Price of sex on Hooker Hill

Negotiations can be all over the place. I’ve been paying the same thing since I first visited Hooker Hill years ago. That is anywhere between 50,000 and 100,000 Won. Sometimes the negotiations will start out with wild numbers of two, three or even four hundred thousand Won. I’ve heard of guys paying these prices but frankly I think it’s bullshit. I guess prices aren’t as well known as they are in Thailand so newbies and gullible guys with hard cocks are willing to pay anything to get their junk wet.

It’s easy to negotiate on the Hill and the women are used to it. Instead of asking them the price, I just tell them what I pay. I don’t have a one hundred percent success rate but when it doesn’t work I simply leave and look for another bar. There are several on the hill and all the hookers inside want money though some are connected and will not open their doors for you after you leave one in the chain.

At some places the women will lock the door and suck or fuck you right inside. At a few places they will ask to take you outside to a guest house up at the top of the hill. Either way works but it’s easier to do the deed right in the establishment. The hookers provide everything needed but I like to bring my own protection. One time I didn’t so I just went in raw and she asked me not to nut in her hole. Some women ask for the money up front but I don’t go for that. I wait until the services are provided then I clean up and pay on the way out. I don’t tip and I’ve never been asked to.

Hookers of the Hill

Back in the day, Hooker Hill’s ladies were mostly sexy 20 or 30 somethings. You might still find a sexy Korean chick, these days more are over the hill and have bad boob jobs. They probably got too old for the huge prostitution scene geared for the local Korean males. Or they took up their spots after retiring from the Asian massage parlors in the US or Australia. The sexy women can be really sexy though and they know how to dress. Most can speak English and some are very good at it. So I don’t mind seeking them out.

The blowjobs are good and so is the sex. I’ve never had a bad fuck on the hill. I’ve only met one or two women on the hill that had a baby but surprisingly you couldn’t tell by looking at them. Even the older women age well and I’ve screwed some of that were of ages I would probably refuse in a other countries. My biggest complaint is that many of them are smokers with factory line mentalities. There are some sweeties though and repeat visits can even warm up the coldest chicks.

I don’t think the Hill has any official hours but I’ve been invited into bars as early as noon. Things seem to wrap up sometime after midnight. The sweet spot is the early afternoon and evening before the drunken foreigners start wandering into the street screaming and generally embarrassing their fellow countrymen. Sometimes the cops will pass through and the Hill will seem dead for a while. But it always bounces back.

If you keep walking up the Hill until it turns to the right you will find some other bars. These places are filled with ugly ladyboys. There are also some “juicy bars” around where Filipinas talk guys out of their money in exchange for nothing more than some flirtation which is frankly ridiculous with so much available pussy nearby. Guys still go to those bars. I don’t know why. They might be confused or just scared of paid pussy.
