A lot of guys aren’t built for this lifestyle

Going place to place, fucking chicks, and living without a schedule or anyone to answer to. It might sound great, but it could just be a sound. A venus fly trap looks good to the fly until it’s too late. The same thing goes for the dude who overdoses on heroin in some Bangkok slum at age 22. Or the retired guy who jumps off floor 64 of the Lucky Golden Dragon condo in Phuket. A lot of guys aren’t built for this.

When I was 19 I realized the rat race was not for me. I went on the road and never looked back. I’ve had a lot of great fun. But I know how to control myself. I don’t get into drugs or illegal shit. I don’t fall in with loser wash outs from the west who feed on each other like praying mantises in a jar. I am here to fuck chicks and chew bubblegum. And I am all out of bubblegum.

That doesn’t mean I am fair weathered or permanently fleeing in fear. I am not a flyjin. I didn’t leave Japan when the big one hit. I didn’t stop traveling, socializing or fucking when corona hit either. Not even for a day. I basically went on with my life as I always do through and through. And that is the truth.

man for all seasons

I do go wherever I want whenever I please. I live life by my own terms. So I have to suffer the consequences. So far there are none, but that’s no guarantee for the future. Of course there is no guarantee for the future but one: I will die. You will too of course, but don’t let that fact get in the way.

I know how to keep myself sane and healthy. I eat well and I take care of myself. I read to keep myself knowledgeable. I have tons of free time. Most of it goes to getting girls or watching them fuck on screen. I only spend a few hours a month working. Yet I live a better lifestyle than the people I left back home. What gives? Why doesn’t everyone do this?

Generally speaking most people aren’t going to pack up and hit the road for an indefinite amount of time. Historically when people did that they were given negative labels. That shows what society thinks of us rootless wanderers. We have to be scorned by official society. Because if every man lived like me, society as we know it wouldn’t exist.

The people in charge need guys to play the role of a robot, at least until the robots take over. If Joe Blow doesn’t get up and go to work every day for 40 years, how are they going to get coal to make steel, steel to make airplanes, people to fly the planes, and places to land them? Ahab’s oil company is a critical cog in the wheel, and you can’t get oil without people working on the cogs.

Plus it’s not easy to make money. That’s what they say, so that’s what we hear. I have made money every month of my adult life, usually without doing much of anything at all. Many months I actually did nothing and just lived on the residuals of past work. You know, what the trendy call “passive income.” Some people want me to tell them how I do it. But even if I do they don’t want to do it themselves. It can’t be that easy. Something must be up. If it was like that, why wouldn’t everyone just do it? A lot of guys simply aren’t built for this lifestyle.

I am nothing special. I don’t work in a mall, on a factory, in an airplane, or anywhere else. I move around with the winds and blow in on whatever place I feel like. Then I kick my feet up for a while and find women to fuck. Then, when the place wears out its welcome on me, I keep it moving. This has been my life for many years. I wouldn’t have it any other way.

I could definitely adapt if it would suddenly change. Humans are amazing that way, which explains the social variation between Eskimos and Urdus. But I’d never accept a life of servitude or subservience in any circumstances. I follow the rules as they exist, but I don’t put myself under anyone’s thumb or boot. That doesn’t mean I look down on the nine to fivers. I am eternally grateful that they put in their work every day. It makes my lifestyle possible. Not everyone would want to live like me. Which is good, because not everyone could. And the same thing applies in the other direction. You do you and I will continue to do my thing.

Now back to the action!
